Even if it Kills Me

Been listening to this on repeat for a little while now. So many thoughts. Memories. Feelings. The past. The present. The future. So many of these forever shaped by addiction. In bad ways, but also in good.

This isn’t something I’ve really written about here, but I have written about it in a million other places. The scraps of paper and journals floating around my house. The chronicles of a life hidden in the shadows. The phoenix that has risen out of the ashes. The growth that came after the forest fire.

Dealing with the addiction of a friend or family member can be a very isolating experience. It’s also a road you don’t have to travel alone. As hard as it can be, reach out to someone. You’d be surprised how many people you find close their mouths and open their arms.
